CJ Phillips (Youth Pastor)

Growing up in the cornfields of Hatfield, Indiana. I was taught from an early age the importance of following Christ throughout your life. I sensed God’s call early on, however, throughout my life I often struggled to relinquish control to Him.
In August of 2011 God called me to Trevecca Nazarene University, it was there that I truly allowed myself to surrender to God’s call. I graduated from Trevecca in May of 2015 with a degree in Pastoral Ministry, and a passion for working with youth.
In the fall of 2013, I had the honor of marrying my amazing wife Bryanna, and in the spring of 2016 we welcomed our first child, a beautiful girl named Avery.
In early 2016 before our daughter was born God began opening doors in Columbus, and it became clear to my wife and I that he was calling us to serve at Central Heights Church of God.
It is my goal to allow God to use my story and my experiences as we journey with students and our church family together throughout each other’s lives. And that together our journey can strengthen our relationships with one another, but most importantly with Christ as well.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Acts 2:42-47
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
