Worship should be enjoyed. David here expressed his joy when he was told that they will go to the house of God. It is not good to come before the presence of God with a sad face and a sorrowful heart. Even king Artaxerxes during the time of Nehemiah would not allow anyone to enter his courts with a sad face. If king Artaxerxes felt discomfort when someone showed sadness in front of him, how much more unpleasing is it to God who can see what’s truely in our hearts and minds. This is a reminder to us that we should be joyful when we worship God. Think of all the good things God has done for you.
