Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Comfort My People

Perhaps in your circle, you are the only one struggling with an issue or a major upheaval. You do not know who you can talk to because no one else gets it. But, there is one who understands exactly what you are going through, what you are feeling, thinking, and experiencing. He has come along-side you to comfort you and lead you through this if you will let him. You don’t see a purpose to this journey and you don’t see how God can “work it out for your good.” In time though, you will come across someone who is in the same situation, as lost or as alone as you were, weary from walking the road alone. Will you help them; open yourself up to them? Maybe you had to walk alone through your valley so they would not have to. God comforted you and now you have the chance to comfort them; the door is open but the decision is yours.  – Commentary by Sarine Thomas

Acts 2:42-47
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
